Innsbruck, AUT (October 17th, 2023) After the successful SnowFest Innsbruck premiere last winter, there is great news from the creators of Rock A Rail Snowboard contest and its counterpart, as they announce a tour with three stops in Europe. The new setup was tested last weekend at Freestyle Roots in Thun in Switzerland (Oct. 13-15) at the very first stop. Benny Milam (USA) and Rachida Aoulad (NED) took home the wins. Coming up next is SnowFest Innsbruck, taking place from November 24th – 26th. The tour concludes with the SnowFest The Hague from December 8th – 10th.

ABOUT THE TOUR - FREESTYLE ACTION – The 37 m long, 17 m wide and over 10 m high scaffolding with a unique urban set-up is the centerpiece of all three stops. The snow ramp features progressive obstacles and rails and is truly a creative playground for freestylers from all over the world! The best jibbers on one and two boards mix with Olympic and World Champions to amaze the audience.

ROCK A RAIL SNOWBOARD – The Rock A Rail success story began in The Hague in 2011, the initially local Rail Jam has grown over the years into an international in-city Snowboard contest with thousands of fans. The return to The Hague after a break is a special one, as it’s the 10th anniversary of Rock A Rail at Grote Markt in the center of the city. A true milestone, which is also reflected in the design of the setup, which has been revised for 2023 to celebrate 10 years.

SNOWFEST – The Snowboard and Freeski contests are part of the SnowFest, which offers easy access to various winter sports for young and old. In the Winter Sports Village in Innsbruck and The Hague, local sports clubs and associations invite everyone to get to know their sport, find out more and try it out directly onsite. Whether on snow, on the mat or on the simulator. Free entry!

KICK-OFF IN THUN – The kick-off in Thun for both Rock A Rail and DownTown StreetSki was also a first for the new and updated setup. Riders were happy and despite the challenging weather conditions with wind and rain they delivered an awesome show. At the Rock A Rail on Saturday it was once again Benny Milam (USA) wo crowned himself to the champion. He also won the 2022 Innsbruck edition and the last one in The Hague. On the women’s side Rachida Aoulad (NED) is the new Rock A Rail Thun winner.
