The snowboard video contest El Tony Crew Clash went down last week in Davos and transformed the mountain into a giant playground of creativity, style and good times.

Five mixed crews of female and male skiers and snowboarders each led by an El Tony athlete competed against each other in a friendly manner, all creating a 5-minute video edit of their week at the resort. The spirit of the event was to embrace community and creativity without the pressure of strict judging or rules, and the winners of the contest took home a total of 15,000 CHF cash prize.

All in all 28 athletes took part in the battle, and the created edits showcased the diversity of the riders as well as filmers and editors. Skiers and snowboarders were not only hitting the Davos Jatzpark but also found secret spots all around the resort and got creative with special hits and angles to push imagination. On top, the spring weather was on their side—bluebird skies for five days in a row was a definite mood booster and made the clips crisp and slushy.
On Saturday April 5th the event week peaked when the general public was invited to join the sessions and hang and ride with the contest troupers in the Jatzpark. Over 100 people attended the fun, from autograph-chasing kids to local freestylers and party crews, and the supportive community vibes of the sports were truly palpable. Later in the evening the final edits—each one a wild ride of creative vision, bold tricks and cheeky dose of madness—were screened and winners were chosen by the riders themselves as well as by the attending audience.

The highest prize of Best Edit was taken by Elio Fumagalli and his team with a mind-blowing edit showcasing beautiful riding mixed with surreal absurdity. More prizes were given to two chosen MVPs, who deserved their crowns after five days of constantly of crushing it: Mia Langridge with her head-turning style landing rail hits through the week, and Tatsu Yamagishi with his overall steezy tricks and first-time-in-Europe confidence.
The event in a nutshell was a success, filled with raw expression, shared energy, and community vibes all over. No external judges and no rules combined with the unique media format made the event special for all attendees, strikingly wrapping up the winter season.

“The best part of the week for me was the process of filming, being creative with the idea and doing the whole thing with your friends. We shared many laughs in my crew haha! Even though I’m not a competitive person at all, it still is amazing to get rewarded with a suitcase full of cash after giving it all for 4 days and share it all with your crew :):) All in all the whole event was amazing. Everything was very well organized, food was mind-blowing, people were enjoying the time together. Everybody was vibing with each other and it didn’t even feel like being at a competition. I thank El Tony Mate for this amazing opportunity and for launching a new event that brings such a good energy together. And of course, I thank my crew for making this week so much fun. Hope to see you at the second edition :)” - Elio Fumagalli / Best Edit captain
“The whole week was absolutely insane, especially watching everyone ride and throw it down up in the park. The vibes were unreal, the fun didn't stop, and everyone was super hyped from start to the end. I went into the week just wanting to have a good time and shred with friends, and I ended up winning the MVP—super unexpected! This was definitely one of the best events I've ever been to!” – Mia Langridge / Female MVP
“The vibes at Crew Clash were amazing, all the riders were really open and ready to share the good times. I still can't believe our team won the Best Edit. Thanks to the production team, El Tony and everyone for making this one of the best weeks of the season, bring on next year!” – Joe Simpson / Best Edit crew
“The vibes were high, lots of smiles and laughing, and we met a lot of very cool people! The food at night and watching everyone's videos was amazing. Our crew put a lot of effort into the video so it was really nice to walk away with the win. Thanks a lot to all the organizers, El Tony and the Distillery! This was such a fun week, and I can’t wait to start it all over again next winter.” – Jake Simpson / Best Edit crew
